Thomas Phillips is the imaginative force behind a world of playful creations. A mixed media artist with a background in construction, he brings a hands-on, wood-loving approach to everything he makes — especially when it comes to woodworking, where his skills truly shine.
These days, Thomas is obsessed with giving broken skateboards a second chance at life. He transforms them into toys, games, and art pieces that blur the line between fun and functional, nostalgia and craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from daily life, robotics, and the sheer joy of making, Thomas combines his carpentry know-how with a vivid visual language that’s all his own. His work reflects a deep belief: that creativity should feel like play, and that growing up doesn’t mean letting go of wonder.
There’s still a kid living inside him — and in his world, the workshop is a toybox, and the world is one big playground.
Although Thomas has been creating for as long as he can remember, it wasn’t until 2023 that he officially launched BrokeDeck Creations LLC — all thanks to the quirky charm of the Block’em Pop’em WoodBots. What began as a fun personal project quickly turned into a passion-fueled small business.
Every piece you see online is handcrafted by Thomas himself, right out of his modest garage workshop in the U.S. There’s no factory, no mass production — just one maker, a whole lot of sawdust, and a deep love for turning scrap into something special.
Each product is made by hand, thoughtfully assembled with care and attention to detail. Thomas believes that handmade work tells a better story — one with heart, imperfections, and individuality.
Whether it’s a wooden figure, a robot with personality, or a custom design, Thomas puts his all into every piece he ships out. BrokeDeck Creations isn’t just about wood — it’s about keeping creativity alive, and sharing a little spark of weird, wonderful joy with the world.
